You did a wonderful job and the quilt is just delightful! I made a quilt for my granddaughter too and used the sheep but I have to say that yours was so much better!

Julia is one lucky baby to have a Grandma who can make her such a pretty quilt. You did a great job! Machine quilting isn't cheating. :D
Well done-it's adorable
Oh! That is just the sweetest, cutest little quilt! You did an incredible job. I know little Miss Julia is going to looove that quilt her whole life.

Thank you ALL for such sweet, heart warming compliments. You are all a great bunch of ego boosters! I live in a relatively small area and don't know very many people (and not many people my age in my neighborhood to associate with) and it is nice to have a group like y'all to share my Sleepy Time Lamb quilt with and so special to me to receive all of the compliments. Again, THANK YOU ALL!!!
Absolutely stunning!!!!!!!!!!!! A lucky baby and I bet you are hooked!!!!!! It happens that way. What is this pattern? Do you mind telling?
beautiful and looks like a pro quilt to me
The pattern is from House of White Birches - #147150 - Creative Scrap Quilting 2001 by Barbara A. Clayton. I was getting these in the mail as packets which all go into a binder however the company no longer does the mailings. The series is from their Heart & Home Delights section. Hope that helps. And yes, I am hooked. My mind has been racing going through all kinds of books and web pages in search of my next pattern.
Thank you so much for info. Will try to find it on the web.
What a lovely quilt! I love that you did the lambs is fuzzy material!
I wish I could pat you on the back! That is adorable! You did such a wonderful job!!  :D
Oh how adorable! Love the wool on the sheep too.
This is sooooooooooo cute. Did you have trouble with the lambs and what material did you use?
Went online and could nothing. Is this a book or a pattern by itself? Thank you.
What a beautiful, adorable quilt!!! Thanks for sharing it with us!
The sheep legs, face, and ears were a pain to turn and did take some time as they are very small. I used a fleece for the sheep found in JoAnne's. I will see if I can scan the directions and then post them for y'all. Oh and sewing around the sheep fleece was a bit tricky as it gets in the way of sewing so you lose track of where your seams are.

My dear hubby, bless his heart, listened to a lot of my oohs and ahhs as well as "what do you think?" questions. Each step was exciting to me and I really learned a lot along the way. I hand quilted everything except along the outer edges of each box containing the sheep and flowers - I cheated and machine quilted them. My son and daughter-in-law were so excited to receive the Sleepy Time Lambs quilt for little Miss Julia (now 8 weeks old). I'm anxious to do more applique work now that I've accomplished this one.
