"Sleigh Ride" Christmas Tree Skirt
2 Attachment(s)
I like making my girls surprises once in a while just because I adore them. This year I've been working on a special Tree Skirt for my younger daughter's new home. I have cut extra batting for certain things like trees, shrubs, people, horses and the dog. That way when I detail those areas, they stand out and look as my DH says, "Almost 3-D". I'm a big fan of the old Currier & Ives prints so this is near and dear to my heart. When I was finished, I found some embroidered ribbon for the ties and embellished it with "Fabric Fusion" permanent fabric glue and white glitter. When it came to the border which I designed myself, I was getting low on the white glitter, so added some silver to it to make it more like icicles. When my daughter turns on the tree lights, the glitter will bring it alive!! It's beautiful!! I wish you could see the way the glitter dresses it up!

That's adorable and the icicle edging is unique and ingenious. Those icicles cooled my jets for a second or two as we're having another 122 degree afternoon again today.
