Slip Knot Wall hanging
1 Attachment(s)
I so wanted to finish my dragonfly applique quilt, but my big machine is in the shop, and my little one just won't go through all the layers, so I worked on something else this afternoon.
I love this batik (the medium one), and have been trying to find a pattern that I could make the squares big enough to show it off, and match it up with purple/. I did mitered borders for the first time in a long time ... not a fan with the same colour of fabric, might leave that for different colours to actually show off the miter! Tomorrow I will be quilting. Thanks for looking. |

Is this pattern available free? I am a new quilter and I think it is lovely!!!
|
I got it off Pinterest. I'm sure of you google slip knot quilt you'll find it. Or just download my picture lol. It's super easy. Just squares and 1/2 triangles. Mine were 3.5 inch squares. Without the borders it was 24 inches

Pretty top!

Since I love purple and batiks I love this wall hanging! Nice work!!
|
Beautiful wall hanging. Love your colours. Have made this twice now and agree that its an easy pattern.
|
Lovely use of batiks. The pattern shows them off beautifully. Your fabric choices really show off the color depth available in batiks. No wonder you wanted to showcase them. I will be anxious to see your wall hanging quilted.
|
Beautifully done...perfect fabrics for that pattern. It shows off the purple wonderfully.
|
It's super nice!!

Marions....love the batiks you chose and the Slip Knot pattern...Kelela
|
Really love your quilt! The fabrics are outstanding and so is your piecing!!
|
I googled and there are lots of pics. One, a blue and aqua from Nancy Zieman, shows all the pieces cut apart and would be easy to follow. It is a very striking pattern!
If you "visit" the picture, there are directions Nancy's !! |
Very nice...

Love this pattern and the fabrics you used. I am going to try this for sure.

Thanks for the size information. I was calculating the dimensions with 5 inch blocks and ti would be be a nice throw size but you could to just about any size you want. Book marked and now on my list to To Do's! Thank you for the new inspiration. |
Oh Marion, it is beautiful! I just love it.
I am thinking of doing a pattern close to that. I have to really think when it comes to triangles though. :) |
Really neat. I like that pattern. 24", so what's the 1/2 sq triangles measure at before & after? Thx.
