  • I got the braids sewn to the center log cabins. Now I need to think about an outer border. Don’t want all those bias edges on the outside.

Coming along nicely!

Watching this quilt come to life has been a great experience for me. I can't wait to see how you decide to finish off the edge and binding. So beautiful.

Wow. This is lovely! I really like all the colors you used. Nice job.

I thought I preferred the blue in the center. So glad you went with this choice. Gorgeous and I get the bias edges, always an issue when putting them all together.
Keep sending your updates, it's amazing.

A friend uses one of those iron off pens and draws a line on the back side and sews her border on, then trims.
I have not tried this yet, I am a bit of a coward and have not done anything with an outside edge of biasis.
Keep us updated.

You can also draw a line and stay stitch the edges before you cut them.

Gorgeous quilt. I "think" I voted for that layout. Love following along with your project!

Welcome to the board. I'd be tempted to repeat the dark blue for the borders. This is very pretty, nice job so far!

Lot of work on those braids, very nice.
