I think it's wonderful how we all can share these quilting shows from wherever in the world. Have really enjoyed seeing the lace making. This does bring everything home to us.

Beautiful work! Shame I missed this, I should have stayed in France a bit longer! Did I see 40E on those hand appliqué cushions? Talk about underselling! :shock:

Merci! C'est tres bon! That is the extent of my french, thanks Katrine - they are stunning.My Great Great grandmother was a lace maker, she was taught by french nuns, thus, we girls all have french names - Lillian(grandmere),Appollonie (ma grand tante), Yvette (ma grand tante) Agnes(mere), Lorraine(moi), Felicite(ma soeur), Francoise (Frances)Grand grandmere), Yvette(ma soeur et ma tante). Annelida (hahaha - Middle French - ma soeur)!

De rien, Rain! What beautiful names all the ladies in your family have though. I was sorry not to get more photos of the lacemaking - there was a lady actually working which was fascinating. Some of the items I was unable to photograph were so wonderful and intricate.

I know - the items which were for sale were not anywhere near where I would have priced them - especially considering the cost of fabrics, threads etc - and for hand work too.
