I came home from work yesterday afternoon intending to spend a couple of hours handquilting, but it seems my helper had other ideas!! When I got up to make a cuppa he decided to snuggle in, and since it is winter here I just didn't have the heart to move him.

I think it is going to take me a very long time to get this quilt finished LOL

What a handsome helper!

blueangel 07-07-2011 01:24 AM

It looks like mykitty.

GGrammie 07-07-2011 02:29 AM

I think your helper needs a quilt of his own....

alikat110 07-07-2011 03:13 AM

Precious

JoyjoyMarie 07-07-2011 03:26 AM

Ahhhhh- he's precious. That's why we often have more than one project going at the same time - right? I mean how many can he sit on?

I often use the floor as my design wall and my cats love to come thru there and rumple up the squares during the night.

Stitchnripper 07-07-2011 04:19 AM

Isn't he cute. We had a tuxedo cat like that. Maybe he thinks the quilt is finished enough for him!!

Jo Mama 07-07-2011 05:38 AM

what a snuggly boy -- very cute.. my fur baby is sitting on my lap right now so I have to type all scrunched with my laptop under my chin...

Aunt Patti 07-07-2011 05:44 AM

What a sweet helper. Have you thought of making your helper, its own quilt

sueisallaboutquilts 07-07-2011 06:02 AM

A quilt in a hoop with a beautiful cat!!!

rwquilts 07-07-2011 06:08 AM

donnaree59 07-07-2011 06:13 AM

Oh, it will wait and be there when he hasn't found it... Got something else you can work on?

janedee 07-07-2011 08:10 AM

know that problem I get up having got the quilt just where I want it for quilting - come back and there is Millie my terrier looking like shes been there for hours!!!

charismah 07-07-2011 08:13 AM

LOL!!! Well It is being used before it's finished..what's wrong with that?

mimicrystal 07-07-2011 08:16 AM

How cute...my little dog does the same thing...I hand quilt my quilts so if my quilt is laying around on the couch or when it is hanging off on the floor...he makes a bed out of it real quick....and then looks at me like I am being mean to him when I tell him to move...lol

tazzyjj 07-07-2011 09:08 AM

May have to put that one on hold and make your lil helper his on quilt!!

Nettie Phillips 07-07-2011 03:46 PM

Pretty cat. She looks like she is comfortable.

roseOfsharon 07-07-2011 03:48 PM

Aren't cats the tops! He seems to think he is... laying on TOP of your quilt ;) He's adorable, I wouldn't move him either.

mamahippychicky 07-07-2011 06:25 PM

It did get worse... my other cat decided to lie next to him and gave him the evil eye to get him to move... didn't work LOL

And, yes I have made quilts for the cats to lie on, BUT they don't like them finished. I guess finished quilts are not as much fun :)

julia58 07-07-2011 06:54 PM

What a handsome helper. Where is it winter in July? I thought it would be summer everywhere in July.

I was just going to say, "that doesn't work!" I work on a quilt forever and my baby snuggles in before I even take 2 steps, then once it's finished and lying on the bed, or the back of the couch, or where ever, nope, don't want to lay on it anymore! She wants to lay on the next one. I blame her for all my UFOs and WIPs!

vic 07-07-2011 07:37 PM

They all have homing instincts and can sniff out a quilt miles away. LOL

It's winter in New Zealand, and very cold at the mo. Makes it a really good time to handquilt :)
