Small table runner from stash and partial scrap orgainization
7 Attachment(s)
Have been going through my scraps and stash the last few days. I did manage to cut out different shapes, squares, triangles and strips to work into projects down the road. (that road seems to be getting longer and longer). Came across these 2 1/2" strips I had bought at Tuesdays a few years back. Great bargain too!! Had some strips already cut 2 1/2" squares, so I made this small runner out of the squares. My stitch in the ditch isn't great, but I'm okay with it. My leftovers went back into the scraps pile! And that's okay too! One of these days I'll get to make another scrappy quilt. My scraps are overwhelming.

Very nice! I like them all, especially the owls!
You have been busy, and made a pretty runner. All those shapes you have cut out are so cute. They gave me ideas. :)
love the owls but all are very nice!!!
They all look great! I especially like your dragonflies.
Oh boy do I know about being over run by scraps! I love your puppy dogs and kitties!

Some future pretty projects coming up I see. Love the tablerunner.

great use of scraps... love your acorns
Wonderful creations from the scraps.
WOW you have been busy. I love the characters you have cut out. Scraps can be overwhelming and when you get to use them it gives me a great feeling of accomplishment.
Nice table runner! Love the shapes especially the maple leaves. Great idea!
Owls! My house is filled with them. They are cute, wise and my husband is sure that they multiply overnight. Your shapes are adorable and with my AccuQuilt dies I can make them and use them in applique. I love applique and use it frequently, heck I use it all the time. Thank you for prodding my memory about scraps and shapes, now when I have the time...
The runner is beautiful and gave me a great idea for a Christmas gift for my baby sister. |
I love your shapes, where are you going to use them?
I like your table runner! Very clever use of your strips and squares. Those die cuts are very cute. I can see the animals appliqued onto a variety of squares, made into a really cute baby quilt. Have fun with them.
Love the shapes! A good reminder to get out my Go!! Thanks!
Next time use those strips before cutting them into squares, so much easier!!! Love your runner and you inspire me to get busy using my scraps. I also have so many to use up!
Smart move...never know when u have to put something together quick and have these cutouts readily available!
You sure have some nice looking scraps! Beautiful table runner.
Love them all, especially the dragonflies. My kind of cute. Should make a really adorable scrap buster quilt
The table runner is very pretty. I love the shapes you cut out, especially the owls. I need to get the Go Baby die so I can do some. Is that what you used?
Love the table runner. Is that done with 2 1/2 inch blocks or those mini squares? Also love the shapes. Are they big enough to use for mug rugs? What are you going to use them for? I can see a table runner with changeable shapes for the different seasons. Thanks for sharing.

Got interrupted between reading the original post and writing my post. Sorry for asking questions you had already answered.
Love all of your applique shapes. Did you cut all of them by hand or do you have a "GO" or a cutting system? I have a "GO" but I don't have many dies for it. They are all great & I can see a lot of beautiful projects made from them.
I love the runner! Looks like those scraps are on their way to some applique work ahead.
They are all great looking..
