Someone had posted pictures of their small treat totes using Halloween fabric. I thought they were just darling. So I made 12 using Christmas fabric and I took them to our monthly Quilt Guild and used them as door prizes.

How cool are those. I really like how you used ribbon for the handles. Very unique. Gives us all one more thing for our 'list'!

redquilter 11-22-2010 03:25 PM

charmpacksplus 11-22-2010 03:28 PM

These are adorable! They look very much like a smaller version of the Bow Tucks totes but without the pockets and bows.

They're about 6" high and 6" wide? Very cute.

No, they are more like 3 inches wide, I didn't measure but my best guess would be about 5 inches tall. Thanks to everyone for your kind comments

Deb watkins 11-23-2010 10:39 AM

A little too small for my original intention.

I have a couple gifts I want to put in these bags and the bags are a bit small for them, so I'm just going to adjust the cutting of the fabric and still sew them up the same way. Maybe something like that would work for you. Good luck. Also lots of bag patterns on the internet, I'm sure you will find what you need.

Yours are awesome! I loved this little pattern and how quickly they sew up. I made a few too for some of my guild buddies. I'd like to make a little bigger version of it instead of stockings for some of my older relatives.

hperttula123 11-23-2010 01:59 PM

those are just too cute. They could be made for birthday parties, any holiday....oh...it's making my head spin. Too much stuff to do already.

PamS 11-23-2010 02:13 PM

Aren't those just the greatest! Fast and fun, what more could you ask for.

Hi Anna: Thanks, I love these bags too. I see you actually made the handles I was going to do that too, but I really didn't have enough time to do that and still be able to use mine as door prizes. I can see more gift totes in the making. I have to make at least 2 in a bigger size to accommodate a couple small gifts I purchased for Christmas.

leiladylei54 11-23-2010 09:42 PM

OH they are so nice!!!

I didn't have enough ribbon! So necessity is the mother of invention. Thanks for posting these. I am going to make some bigger ones too. My husband put up the Christmas tree last night and I hung up a few of these minis on the branches. They look cute. Happy Thanksgiving.
