Your quilt is beautiful! I like this pattern in the controlled scrappy. Meander quilting will look great.

It's wonderful that you've kept family reunions going, and that your daughter wants them to continue. They are, I think, mostly a thing of the past. Technology has made keeping in touch easier, but it just isn't the same as gathering in person.

What a wonderful family member you are to donate your time, talent and treasure to keep the reunions going. Your quilt is lovely and you are a master in color placement.

I'm just amazed at how many quilts you turn out in such a short time period and you say you broke your shoulder and wrist to boot. I'm just amazed just the same. This quilt came out beautiful and though those are not my colors, these really turned out great together. I also prefer making quilts more so than smaller gifts. You're so thoughtful. Good work and keep on truckin' as they say.

To all my long lost, never heard of before, new relations on this post (lol), and others here, I thank you.

I finished quilting and binding this one yesterday. I bit the bullet and quilted it crosshatch, but no ruler. It wasn’t any harder on me than quilting the meander because I didn’t use the ruler. The squares finished at 2 inches so it wasn’t difficult to eye from corner to corner. I do have a few that that were off when I ran across the 4 blacks together. I think every time I had to stitch on the black I froze up bc I knew any off would show. Anyway here it is pieced, quilted and bound. I am happy with it and it’s not stiff. It’s puffy. My batting is high loft 100% polyester. It should keep us warm with our southern winters. I know I was hot quilting it even with the AC on. Quilting shows better on backing. Puffiness shows better in close up, folded.

I hope that you are signing the quilts for prosperity. I think adding the family reunion date and year would be charming too. I do that with the donation quilts for the driving for diabetes. Anyways, I love the finished results of your quilt, and I am wondering how you got this beauty from the pattern you linked to. This is a prize quilt. That is a real scrappy. Anyone else agree?
