Smokey Mountain Stairs
1 Attachment(s)
Auntpiggylpn was so generous, she helped me out with some fabric that was perfect for this quilt! I finished it Sunday, put the quilt top on the batting Sunday evening, made the backing and put it on the other side of the batting Monday evening, using adhesive spray and/or elmer's glue both times, trying to find a fool-proof method to avoide those pesky little unsmooth areas that always seem so unavoidable to me! Anyway, here's the top - the back is just unbleached muslin with enough of the blue border to make a strip lengthwise down the center where I joined the muslin together. This is one of Bonnie Hunter's patterns, Smokey Mountain Stairs.
It is for some Jewish friends of mine, so it will work out perfectly. The caption will be "this quilt is a hug from me when I'm not here." |

This turned out so fun! I love it. It so looks like a party going on.

It is GORGEOUS!!!! You did a fabulous job! I have this one on my "Maybe Someday" list. Glad I could help you out. The fabric looks better in your quilt than it did sitting on my shelf unused!
|
Beautiful yet fun! Great gift (and sentiment) for your friends.
