Here are pictures of a future group called Quail Run. (Anybody know what kind of quail these are?)

I think the grassy ones would be wonderful in beach-theme quilts too.

What do you think of these?

I'm a city girl--never seen a quail. I love the sky and grass fabrics but not sure if I would use the birds.
I love when you post future fabrics-thank you.

This fabric line reminds me of my "Poppy". We use to have quail that lived in the brush line that devided his property from the road. He use to love seeing them.

Do quail come to eat at backyard birdfeeders? We don't have quail in my area - at least not that I know of.

Those are California quail. The one with the little feather on his head is the male . The one without the feather is the hen. There is also another one with the feather on the head called Gamble quail. But that one has some blue and green feathers around the face and neck.
