Just appeared on Quilting Treasures' website: these are the pictures of the next GWTW collection.
There are a bunch of coordinates, but only two "feature" prints. |

And two stripes. And thus you have it, the whole group.

love that panel!! i'd make a lap quilt with it.
Is this all you post? Is it a paid job or what?
Do you know how big the panel with just Gone With the Wind is?
The last group of fabric reminds me of the drapes and the Gone With the Wind skit with Carol Burnett where she took the drapes with the rod attached and made a dress with it. :lol I think of that and still laugh!
I like all but the fabric with the bows :D:D:D
CajunQuilter, I would have thought that the panel would be 36" x 44", but I just called QT and they said that this will actually be an all-over print, with the design repeating across the fabric, and the pattern repeat is 10.25" W x 8" H. So they told me that those are the dimensions for the block you see.
Diamond, I do create posts - or answer posts - that are not about fabric pictures. And no, I don't get paid for posting these "previews" but I would be willing to work for chocolate! Tuesy, I'm still waiting for them to do a design with Scarlett in the emerald green dress made from Miz Ellen's curtains. Maybe that will be in part 3. My guess is that as long as the collections keep selling, they will keep going with the designs. |
i just love the previews that you give us!! gets us thinking about what we can be making down the road and asking for at our LQS!!

- it's like window-shopping in that it doesn't cost anything to look, and even planning for a project that never becomes real, still can be fun - for real projects, you can see what's coming next, so you know what to wait for and/or ask your LQS for - the LQS wins, too, because if the customers ask about a line, then the LQS gets a better idea of what they *should* be carrying. Every shop owner I've spoken to has said that it's hard to select fabrics to carry, because their own taste tends to drive the choices... when, to be the most successful, the choice has to be about what the customers like. |

I totally enjoy your postings of fabric. I get a good idea of what is out or coming out and what the new trends are so you get a high five and a big online hug from this end. I always think of the curtain dress she wore in Gone with the Wind. Its been 20 yrs since I last saw that movie, thanks for the memories!
Very different.
Can I pre-order thru you? The GWTW one would be a great bAcking for the one I am doing for my friend. If I can pre-order with you please let me know so that I can do so.
I thoroughly enjoy your posting the new fabric lines--stimulates what little imagination I have left!
I would use the panel for a wall hanging in my sewing room. |
I'm glad that so many people are enjoying the previews!
Just so you know, I post whatever I think is interesting... whether or not I'm inclined to buy it for my shop, and whether or not I even like it personally. If you'd like to know if I did decide to carry a particular fabric, I'd feel a whole lot more comfortable to receive a PM, rather than have the question posted in the thread. I'd be grateful for the business, of course, but I'm trying to walk a narrow line between a community member asking "Hey, this is new, what do you think of it?" and a business person. I'm trying very hard not to blur that distinction. This forum is a wonderful, lively place, but it would be totally ruined if it became just a place full of commercial posts and advertising. I hope you all understand. |
I think it is great that we can give our opinions about what we like and don't like and feel that it is being heard by a quilt store owner. I have been in too many quilt stores where it is obvious that the owner's tastes in fabric prevail throughout the shop. I like variety and having an eclectic selection to choose from. I don't like Thimbleberries, for example, so when I walk into a quiltstore and it looks like it showcases mostly these types of fabric, I don't spend much time in the shop. (I went on the Washington Shop Hop a few years ago and some stores I spent a good hour in and bought lots, whereas other stores I spent less than ten minutes in and left empty handed.)

I like your previews so please keep posting them for us!
thank you so much for posting these fabric sneek peeks
I look forward to whats coming next I am still waiting on that buffalo fabric fron riverwoods thanks again Dodie |
Today's look at the Garden Song (think that was the one) was very much appreciated.
I actually was hoping that you worked in a storefront LQS. As I have reason to go to Buffalo frequently, I'd have SOOO been there in a heartbeat. Even online, your selections are nicer than the other shop (that has two locations) in the Buffalo area. |
Thanks for posting the preview!
Got the Hancocks of Paducah catalog today, and they have different GWTW fabrics. Much larger prints; more for fussy cutting. Other coordinating colors to go with, also. Still like them.
I'm not really crazy about these ones especially the stripes. They remind me of wallpaper.

Quilting Treasures added one more fabric for this group.
The fabrics should start appearing in quilt shops around August.
Don't like this one either--I suppose it could be used as a border or at the top or bottom of a quilt.
my sil would love it
