Snowflakes for Display...

1 Attachment(s)
When my DH & I moved into this 5th Wheel, we both said it was absolutely perfect for showcasing my work. Since then, I've been very busy trying to make enough stuff to change frequently with the seasons, whatever. Last Fall, he said he wanted me to make snowflake blocks to display like the one I'd made before. So I reduced the size 50% and went about making them. I was busy trying to finish a Vintage Tractor quilt for a friend, so didn't get to work on them much until I finished it a few days ago. Now I just need to sew the binding to the back & they're ready to hang!

Wow!! You do beautiful work. Love the colors. We sure could use some of those here. It is in the 70's today.

Very nice, and what is even nicer is that you have a husband that appreciates your work.

Just beautiful

Oh my, they are lovely. I can only imagine the work you put into them. Although, at this point in my life, I don't envy you the 5th wheel living. But, I've been told that they can at times be spacious. Enjoy your snowflakes. It's nice that DH is your biggest fan.

I like your idea of quilted decorative pieces for your 5th wheel. We have one and it is very spacious. We just camp and vacation with it. I love it and I hope you do also. It sounds very 'homey' with your special decorative touches. The snowflakes in Florida-great touch. You do great work.

Love your snowflake blocks. Good job!! Will you share the name of the pattern you used?

Becky's Crafts 02-22-2016 06:07 AM

The name of this snowflake pattern is "Beginner Snowflake" by Linda Hibbert of www.silverliningsoriginals.com. It's a paper pieced pattern. My DH loves it so much, he wants me to make a big quilt with both full sizes and the new 50% reduced size in these little mats. :-) Have fun!!

Beautiful snowflakes. I like this kind but not to wild about the ones that land on the ground.

Gail B 02-22-2016 06:52 PM

Thank you so much for posting the link to the pattern.

kaylfordsollimo 02-24-2016 04:15 PM

A beautiful example of paper piecing.

kwiltkrazy 10-03-2016 12:09 PM

Very lovely. I've made this pattern, it wasn't my favorite pp project.

travelinggramma 10-03-2016 03:34 PM

I used to decorate our home on wheels, but don't bother. Rather we have seasonal flags for outside! But I have piles of quilts around. And there is always a project or two or three in progress. (unless we are on the move!)
