So cute! I would have never thought to do that with the redwork. I wonder, if you have upgraded you machine to the v.4, if you could have just set it for the applique and not have had to have the designs digitized for the applique? I have the same machine and have upgraded, but have never tried to use that feature. I think I might have to give it a try now.

I guess I'm blind, I've read some people keep mentioning red work, and I keep going back to the picture of the quilt, and I'm not seeing any red work. What am I missing?

These are applque designs, not redwork. This quilt has no redwork in it. There are these same designs that are sold in redwork instead of applique. I have both and have a quilt top done in redwork, but haven't ever got it quilted yet.
