My husband use to buy scraps from a construction materials shop (residue of Tshirts, men underwears, towels etc. from knitting factories). He uses it to varnish door & window frames. Some of the scraps, are clean and solid white. I selected some that were wide enough for crafting, and created a snowman during the weekend. Last night my snowman was done. Here is the picture. He is lonely, isn't he? Unfortunately, I have no more solid white scraps to accompany Mr.Snowman. :lol: :lol: :lol:

He is so cute! Love the scarf on his neck and hat is unusual too! If you lived closer I'd give you all my tons of white fabric I'll never get around to using. You should check w/the hotels there in Jakarta and ask for any old sheets they don't want. Lots of hotels, at least in the USA, will give people the old worn sheets to use for quiltmaking. No, we never have snow. Here we have tropical climate. But I don't know why, people here decorate Christmas trees with white cottons to resemble snow, including the Snowman and Santa.

My dau-in-law collects anything Snowman. If I have time I'll have to make one for her. Thanks for sharing your pic & giving me the idea. It looks great on the table runner.
