Your blocks are gorgeous
|
Your blocks are beautiful! I’m looking forward to seeing your progress. Whether or not you put sashing is up to you and what you like. Unless civil war quilts were done a certain way? I think it would look pretty either way. If you put a sashing it will show off each individual block more. It will be beautiful no matter what.

Fantastic blog! Thanks for sharing! I love what you have so far, I have just recently discovered civil war fabrics, I fear I could be addicted very easily....

Beautiful. I hope to make one, one day. Love the colours.

Your blocks look great. I'm a fan of scrappy quilts, and I think sashing will really help each block stand out.

This is going to be a gorgeous quilt...can't wait to see the finished result!

It has some simple blocks as well as some more challenging ones :) Should I do sashing or not?

I'd wait until I'm finished for the sashing. Then you can move your blocks if you want to. I think sashing would look good. They show 2 inches but I'd try 1 inch and 2 inches to see what you like best.
