Karla just found this thread, this block is great, of course I just love your colour choices. Have you started to piece together yet? If so, is it really difficult?? Post more pictures pleeeeeease xxx

Izy--it's very easy!! What's so neat is that I took 2 quilt tops to a new quilter and she's teaching a class for this pattern! So I got to see several completed projects she had to display. So many color choices.

It looks overwhelming at first--but I've learned to take it step by step and it's so much easier than I imagined. Of course I haven't gotten too far--- I will take a photo later and show you something--it's different than anything I've ever done.

Izy--here's what the quilt is made of--strips of pieces sewn on a diagonal--then into these kind of blocks. Later I sew blocks together on a diagonal to get the effect. When I was ready to sew the strips together I panicked because none of the leaves lined up. It took me awhile to realize they'd line up after they were sewed together. I needed a warning. No wonder folks take a class--avoid those panicky moments.

It is going to be beautiful.. I really like the pattern...I was searching last week for pattern Tree of Life.. I found Joann has a sale right now on the Tree of Life Stamped Cross Stitch Quilt... I decided to do one in embrodery... Looked alot easier than quilting one.. You are a brave person
