Great room, wonderful husband, you are so fortunate. Congratulations!
Makes you fall in love again. Yes, a sewing room can be romantic.
What a lovely place you have to sew!
What a great place to work. Your husband did a wonderful job. It's beautiful! My sewing area is shared with my husband's model trains.
Wow, really nice.
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments about my room...I really love it...it is such a nice space to work in....and yes it is too tidy and I know soon it will be messier but because there is so much storage, at the moment there is a place for everything so it is really easy to keep tidy
...by the way someone asked why my sewing machine is by the wall and not under the window...2 reasons...it is so bright in a morning that it actually gets quite warm under the window and I thought it might well discolour my machines etc...and secondly if I look through my window I can see all down my road and when I am sewing I stand up alot...I didn't want to look like a nosey neighbour !! My husband is a diamond, married 29 years soon...would take far too long to train another to his standard...so will definatly be keeping |
WOW Love it!!!!!
Love it!! What a good idea to use the bulkhead that way too. Don't you just love Ikea. I miss having one close to me now, so many good storage ideas.

oh How I want a sewing room, this looks fantastic!
I have a small room also. This is the best use of a small room that I have seen so far. I am going to steal some of your ideas - aka storage solutions. By the way, does your DH make house calls? I could use some help.
I love your sewing room, so light and airy.

The 4x4 frame and casters raised it to counter height - easier on the back to cut at that height. And the cube units are open (no back) - putting them back to back makes a nice long shelve area to store bolts, batting, long rulers etc. Love my room, too.

THis room is a Winner!
I haven't been to IKEA but I just love the pictured quilting room.
