Some donations for guild this month
3 Attachment(s)
These are a couple donations for the guild this month I just finished (Winnie the Pooh & girl diaperpins). The Blue Jean Teddy is a piece of fabric that I picked up at the thriftshop awhile back (2 yds. for 59 cents!)...I have 1 quilt cut out but not made yet, and this is the scraps from it. The fabric was actually for making the bumper guards for the crib...I just fussycut to get the squares for the quilts. The reason the scrapquilt was made before the original one planned is because I made it as a leader/ender quilt while making the above 2 quilts & then just put it together & finished it at the same time as doing them. All ready for new homes! :)

Thanks everyone...yes, I think they will be loved. I joined our guild (which is small) about 6 months ago...it's a very friendly group & I feel very welcome there. We try to do several things and because it is small, I try to do my share by making the donations and a larger amount donated in Dec. (just in time for Xmas!) :) It's fun knowing someone is going to love them...being a crafter & doing craftshows all year, I have lots of scraps, so it's a way to use them up. They multiply faster than rabbits!!! :) But, these 3 quilts were pieces of fabric donated to the guild...I just add from my scraps or stash for them. It's something I really enjoy doing. I will also be donating 6-12 crocheted afghan/hat sets to the pregnancy center every Dec. I also donate 10-12 lap afghans to the nursing home here. Alot of the materials for all this is found through yard sales, estate sales, & thriftshops. So mostly it's just my time involved & I don't mind that at all. It's all a good cause. I commend anyone that donates to the various causes!!!
