This is my first attempt at a kaleidoscope quilt, it's going to be a medium sized wall hanging, since there wasn't enough fabric left on the bolt for a bigger quilt.
I have been eye-balling this fabric for quite some time, and I kept telling myself I'd wait till it went on sale since it's 10 bucks a meter. This week it's at 50% off, but there was only 2.5 meters left :( Anyway, tell me what you think ;P |
Brilliant at how all the different kaleidoscopes come out from one fabric. Your quilt is going to look stunning.
very very pretty!!!
Very nice. I love the way these things work out!
I caved in and just ordered the two One Block Wonder books! I am going to have to have a go, I just love the effects you get.
Very pretty. I can't wait to try it too.
That will be beautiful!!
It's really eye catching. I just love
the colors & the flowers that you are using to make it with. I can see why you like it so much!! Thank you for sharing with all of us. :D :D :D :D :D |
Looks like you have a plan, and you are working your plan.
I like the story your kalaidoscopes tell ... highlighting all the parts of the daffodil, and then one block showing the whole flower. That is going to be a wonderful quilt. |
Georgeous!!!
I think it's gorgeous!!
its looking fantastic and i cant wait to see the finished piece! It was good to see what the fabric looked like before you cut it up as i have been contemplating using this technique but was never sure what fabric would work..our big chain store is having a sale so might see if there is some fabric that might be suitable..how much should i buy?
I love this technique cause you can come up with so many amazing looks!!
I love the fabric you used! The blocks are going to be great! |
They look great Melanie. Are'nt they fun to do? It's so addicting because you can't wait to see what each block will look like. Perfect fabric!
Very Pretty!!!!! Keep going and post more pictures, please :D :D :D
Your blocks are beautiful! This is going to be a gorgeous quilt- can't wait to see it all finished.

great job! :D
It's gorgeous so far. Maybe you can find a batik or other fabrics to 'fill in' and make it bigger, IF you want it bigger!
What a pretty and sunny quilt. I can see why you kept eye balling that fabric too, it is gorgeous! Did you finish it yet?
stunning colors. how many inches across are they? :?:
will be very nice when finished
I think ooh, la, la. Those are my kind of quilt blocks. So interesting and fascinating at how it changes the fabric and makes something totally new in effect. Beautiful. Maybe you can scour the internet and find some more of the fabric and make it a bigger quilt. Love, love it.
WOW! will be awesome. Anxious to see the finished quilt!
peace |
LOVE IT.... wish you had a full 6 yards!
