Here are a couple of my baby quilts. First is for granddaughter. My own pattern. It's is hand appliqued and quilted with her birthdate and name embroidered on it. The second is for grandson who was born with a bit of a heart problem. Was in one of the mags and I thought it was perfect for him. Also hand quilted with name and birthdate embroidered on it. Love the little quilts so fast and easy to do.

your quilts are totally amazing! Being a realatively new quilter I would love those pattern for my stash. I make baby quilts for our church for baptisms and I love the angel pattern. Any place I can find them? Thanks

Those are adorable!! You do brilliant work! I especially like the angels...but I'm tellin you that is some fine fine applique work!! The quilting rocks too!! You're a wonderful grandma!!

Lois-nounoe 02-07-2008 08:22 PM

GMA I drew the pattern up myself. I just went with a simple primative angel. The halos are gold lammai? I know that isn't spelled right but you get my drift. I did have to iron on a light fusable interfacing with it though cause it will shred otherwise. It was fun to make and I like hand applique. It's not hard to draw up if you have even a little imagination. Sorry I don't have a pattern to send you. I'm not even sure where I put the pieces! Organized I am not!!!!! :D

Your quilts are gorgeous! Wow! Inspirational would be the word. I love the heart pattern with the bright Easter colors. Is the pattern anywhere on the web? Thanks for sharing.

Lois-nounoe 02-21-2008 06:46 PM

Feathers: I think the heart design is just called nine patch or patchwork hearts. I saw it in one of my magazines a while back. If I find where it is I'll try to post you.
