Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie

1/2 c. chocolate syrup
1/3 c. semisweet choc. chips
2 c. crisp rice cereal
1/4 c. sour cream
1 qt. choc. chip ice cream, softened

1) Coat bottom and sides of an 8-inch pie plate lightly with butter.

2) Combine choc. syrup and choc. chips in a small microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on High until hot, about 45 seconds. Stir until smooth.
Reserve 1/4 c. of the choc. mixture.

3) Combine remaining chocolate mixture and cereal in a medium bowl and mix to coat cereal. Press mixture over bottom and up sides of prepared pie plate. Freeze until firm, about 15 minutes.

4) Combine reserved chocolate mixture and the sour cream in a small bowl and mix well. Spread half the ice cream in the prepared pie plate. Drizzle with half the sour cream mixture. Top with remaining ice cream and drizzle with remaining sour cream mixture. Freeze pie, covered, until firm, about 1 hour.

Here's her tip at top rt. side of recipe: To get clean, even slices of pie, Grandma first filled a bowl with hot water. She made a cut, then dipped the knife in the hot water and wiped it off. The hot knife sliced right through the frozen ice cream and crust with a minimum of effort and that made it easier to cut the pie into 8 slices instead of 6.

Thank you so very much, smagruder! I'm undecided right now but I really loved making the little Raggedy Shelf Sitters and some of the ornaments that did well. The smaller items appeal more to me as they're much quicker to make, but I do love these dolls and they were fun to do for pleasure and not profit.
:-D :-D

Here are some of the Raggedy Shelf Sitters I sold for $5 15 yrs. ago. They are small dolls with freckles and all different color hair types, yarn, curls, etc. along with Raggedys. The white haired one in front is an angel with raffia wings. They all have different sayings, "Andy wuvs me" or "I wuv Andy" etc.
