I finished sandwiching all these tops, now I need to get to actually quilting them!

The first picture is my first applique. The second I made from some watercolor horse fabric I found and fussy cut. The third is a Laurel Burch panel I cut apart.

All 3 are really nice. Really like how the Tennessee Waltz pattern frames the horse print. Are those greyhounds in the first one?

Yes. I made that quilt to honor my dogs Lady and Cooper who passed away. That field would have been Lady's heaven. I have owned many greyhounds, but Lady was the one who had an incredible, infectious pure Joy when she could run full speed. It still makes me smile when I think of her.

Three very different and delightful quilts! You represented the animal spirits wonderfully.

I love this! I have two whippets (who look like smaller greyhounds) so this quilt really resonates with me. They are 12 and 13 years old so this quilt really hits home. The younger one was such an athlete until she was sidelined with a "spine" stroke", and there was nothing she liked more than running and chasing a frisbee. Now she is content to just walk around the block, but she was such a beast in her day! Such a touching tribute to your greys :-)

Gorgeous tops that need to be finished for everyone to enjoy!

All of these are wonderful but the framed horses is my favorite.
