Since I sooo love looking at all of your projects, quilts, I thought I'd get the guts up to show mine.

First ever potholders! & small pillow. lol!! My daughter's boyfriend's bd is this Sat, so wanted something quick to add to his presents. He's a total golf addict.

This one I {borrowed} the idea from K3n
:)

This one I was going to just make a small quilt, and decided to go bigger - need to get more material.... lol!!!

And some more.....

This one I started a couple of years ago, and just added the ugly brown sashings a couple of months ago. Am going to take it all back out. Was just trying to use what I had, and it's too ugly! You can see the Inspector's expression - she agrees!

I made this one in '91, was having a special bd party, and everyone signed it. Most of which has washed out. :(

I had always wanted a pinwheel quilt - so made my own last year.

They are all just simply gorgeous!! And the cat inspector is just ticked cause you woke her up -- she really likes the quilt... :-) :-)

Those are awesome!!

QuiltingTurtle 04-09-2009 09:33 AM

Very pretty. I LOVE pinwheels. They are so pretty, no matter what color or size. :)

Great work - thanks for sharing. I love the pinwheels and the potholders! Not into golf, but love what you did!

SulaBug 04-09-2009 09:59 AM

All of your quilts are beautiful!! :D
You have done a very nice job making them.
It's so fun to share, isn't it? Thanks.
:D :D :D :D

Wow, what variety. Nicely done. Seems you have the catspecter (hairy) seal of approval.

I love them Diana, especially the Irish chain. It tickled me pink to see the kitty one with courthouse steps - thanks for crediting me! :D

All your quilts are beautiful. And I admire that you are going to take out the brown sashing - I would just live with it (lazy here.)

k3n 04-09-2009 10:39 AM

I meant to say, I actually LIKE the brown sashing - it looks like an antique quilt!

Excellent work, indeed!
I really like classic patterns, and I like that brown with the square in a square .... brown sashing is very earthy and warm ... (and makes me think wood, solid, comfort) ....
You fit right in with all the other creative quilters on this list and I am really glad you shared your inspiration with us.

MollieSue 04-09-2009 01:18 PM

Thank you, I really appreciate all the kind words!!!
You know how when you make something, you look at it all with a much more critical eye? That's me. After seeing all the truly beautiful quilts you all do, I was very hesitant to show mine!
And as an added bonus, you have me rethinking that brown sashing too! lol!!!
Thank you all again!! :-)

Beautiful quilts!!!
I like the brown sashing in the quilt too! It looks, I think someone else said, antique. I agree with that statement.
Great job!

sewnsewer2 04-09-2009 02:51 PM

Ok, now that you've posted your pics, you have to keep them coming! We want to see more!

Beautiful job on all of them and your cat is gorgeous!

littlehud 04-09-2009 05:52 PM

They are all wonderful. You do great work. And your cat is a beauty.

Marcia 04-09-2009 06:13 PM

Wow, Diana--I like them ALL!! The golf fabric is great!! I think your courthouse steps with the fussy cut kitties it adorable. I love your Irish Chain and Pinwheel. And I agree with K3n---the brown sashing does give your quilt an antique look--I would not take it out either. BUT--you have to do what makes you happy with the results.

Thanks for sharing your quilts with us, Diana---and do not hesitate to share again!!!

MollieSue 04-10-2009 04:25 AM

Thank you all again!! I feel like printing off all your words! lol!!!! You know you just don't get the same reaction from your hubby & kids seeing your things! lol!!!! Although I do have one daughter-in-law who I'm working on getting into quilting, who ooohs & ahhhs appropriately.... :-)
Thank you again!

Bevanger 04-10-2009 06:24 AM

Mousie 04-12-2009 05:06 AM

Diana, loving it all...and kitty is just doing the "kitty thing"...she doesn't want her owner to get spoiled, lol!
Yes, I love to drool and admire, and be inspired by others. It's all so much fun. You have done lots of good work, and glad you showed it all too us. I like versatility too. woo hoo, work on something different all the time, keeps my brain from getting dusty, lol!
