Welcome from another PAer. I love the log cabin. Never saw one with the X and block. Stunning.

Have a great Labor Day!

Love all of your quilts. I would love to do a log cabin, but I have a rough time picking out colors so have not tried it yet. Yours is beautiful and the colors are perfect. The one for your son is just perfect for a college dorm room. Would you mind sharing the name of the pattern? Thanks for sharing the name of the quilt pattern. It is absolutely gorgeous. You are so lucky that you are good at and enjoy picking out the fabric. That is the hardest part for me. If I could afford it, I would have a LQS cut kits for me cause I just agonize over the fabric selections. Once again, thanks for sharing. |
Hello and welcome from SW Iowa. Glad to have you here. I thought the blue one was the best til I saw the Irish Chain. You do great work. Thanks for sharing. with us.
|
Welcome from North Carolina. Love the quilts, especially the middle. Do share the pattern for this. Great job for brights!
|
All three are very nice.
|
Very nice...I especially like your son's college quilt!
|
They are all FABULOUS! What is the name of your son's college quilt, would love to find that pattern. Thanks for the posting!

Thank you! The Irish Chain was not hard at all- just need to pay a little bit of attention to get all the seams to match. I am a "follow the instructions" kind of girl- haven't really tried to design too much on my own. I've found that if I spend the time to pick fabrics I really love and really blend well together, I do a better job with the piecing. I want to do the fabric justice! If I am sorry to give it away when I'm done, I know I've done the best I could!

BTW, for those who asked about the patterns, I posted the info already. I believe they are on page 3 (2 separate posts).

Gorgeous quilts - especially like your sons. welcome from England
|
I love the way the log cabin is done and makes a shadow X in the center. It was a neat way of laying it out. The bright one automatically calls to me as I love bright colors. The green irish chain would go well in my son's room as he is all about green. Welcome to the board and I look forward to seeing more of your work. You do very well!

I like all of your quilts, but my favorite is the last one. I love the way you used several shades of green. Also, green is my favorite color.

Wow! I love all three of them, but was absolutely fascinated by the secondary and tertiary (and more) in the other one! You did a terrific job on these quilts. If you ever get tired of the blue one, you can always send it to me. <G>
|
Funny you should say that. It is hanging in my daughter's apartment. I have told her the same thing! I think she'll be keeping it awhile. She always gets compliments when people visit.
