Thank you everyone! It is so great to share one's sewing projects with so many people and to get such kind feedback. This is extremely motivating.

I'm simply amazed by all the quilts that are posted by all of you and I'm still a bit overwhelmed with the speed in which new threads appear and the amount of posts that are accumulated in no time at all. I hadn't noticed that during my lurking time because I mainly browsed the tutorials or simply looked at the pictures in the picture thread without paying attention to the time they were posted.

It's truly great to be here!

Thank you!

Like your sewing machine cover. Cute idea! Thanks for sharing your wonderful projects.

I'm surprised that some of you seem to like the cat mat so much. I wasn't that happy with it. I'm thinking of quilting the yellow pieces. So far I just quilted along the cats. And since then the mat has been stored away in some cupboard for more than two years. Seeing the picture again has given me this additional idea.

Btw, I used old batik robes my mother used to wear in the 60ies for the cats. It took me ages to select the piece for the heads, trying to find some pieces with semblance of cat faces. I'm especially happy with the head of the whitish cat.

Those faces are perfect on the cats...it really shows up as a cat face! LOVE IT! Thanks for taking the time to photograph your projects.
