You did a fantastic job on that quilt. Your artistic side really shows. It feels like you had a great time doing all that work.

Excellent quilting!

laadw 02-12-2010 01:59 PM

I love the pattern.

Lisanne 02-12-2010 02:27 PM

I don't like feathered quilting, but I sure do love your quilt top!
(Actually, I like your feathers better than most because they're so wide. Most of the time they just look like intestines to me.)

Oklahoma Suzie 02-12-2010 03:05 PM

wow...that is stunning

judyq 02-13-2010 06:20 AM

Did you do your quilting on a long-arm or regular sewing machine? I am trying to learn to machine quilt on a BabyLock Quest. So far, all I can do is stippling. I want to learn more. Thanks for the info. It certainly is beautiful!!! Great job!

Mamagus 02-13-2010 06:24 AM

Beautiful quilting! Will you and your machine come live with me for awhile!?

sandpat 02-13-2010 06:29 AM

OH yes! I think the fence looks wonderful and I just love the feathers! Its another beauty!!!

kasmitty1 02-13-2010 06:36 AM

Just WOW. I get so humbled sometimes when I look at such talented quilters. You're an inspiration!

WOW - beautiful!!

dunster 02-13-2010 09:46 AM

Oooh, wow! I love it when you have pictures to show us. I think feathers are fun too, but mine don't look anywhere near as nice as yours. I love the way you did the wood, looks like knot holes, very original.

lass 02-13-2010 01:21 PM

Just beautiful!

Lucky Lindy 02-13-2010 01:30 PM

Very nice, I'm trying to develop my quilting skills, mostly I just meander but I'll try feathers some day. Great job!

Greenfairy, your quilt is so different & the feathers set it off. Great pattern. Thanks for showing us.

margaret light 02-13-2010 05:53 PM

You have such talent!! This is truly a beautiful piece of work. How long did it take you? Thank you sooooooooo much for sharing! Bea

starlight 02-13-2010 06:18 PM

Your quilt is beutiful. Wish that I could do feathers even half as good as you do. Great job!!!

pittsburgpam 02-13-2010 06:23 PM

That is BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for sharing, I love seeing your work.

cr12cats 02-13-2010 06:57 PM

VERY PRETTY

annieshane 02-13-2010 07:03 PM

This quilting is awesome. Please tell me that you have the computerized machine and that you did not do this freehand. If you did freehand I would be so envious of your talents. Even with a computerized machine, this is awesome quilting. Do you quilt for others or do this for your own satisfaction. How long would it take you to quilt an entire quilt with these patterns? Again, I love this work, you are a truly talented person.

quilterjeri 02-13-2010 09:07 PM

This is absolutely beautiful! thank you for sharing - the quilting is some of the best I've seen.

You did a fabulous job !! Very cute quilt too..

Thanks so much for update. Can't wait to check out the site!

MissTreated 02-14-2010 12:23 PM

Awesome quilting!!!

Sharon - NC 02-14-2010 02:39 PM

Gorgeous. And yes, the wood does look like it has a grain the way you quilted it. nice work!

adudek 02-15-2010 05:34 AM

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

raptureready 02-15-2010 05:39 AM

Beautiful. Do you have any suggestions on how to START quilting? I've had a MegaQuilter w/frame for two years and I'm scared to death to even try it. I love making the tops and currently have 20+ ladies in waiting plus 10+ UFO's. I'm just afraid I'll mess up on the quilting.

peel 02-15-2010 07:00 AM

hi Greenfairy,
I love your quilt and quilting, yes feathers are fun and even a little off kilter doesn't matter too much they still look great.

I have one question - do you quilt on a domestic machine (I do) or a long arm?
thanks,
peel

Laura Li 02-15-2010 08:04 AM

Very pretty, I love all the detail work. Good Job.

peel 02-15-2010 08:43 AM

hi,
want to clear up something from my last "reply" to you. I said that if "feathers" are a little off kilter it didn't matter they still look good. I didn't mean that your's are off kilter, your's look perfect. I meant in general if they're a little off they're still great. As I said I fmq on domestic machine and sometimes mine don't come as perfect as I'd like, but they still look pretty good. Even if I'm following lines like a stencil I don't get it perfect but when you take away the lines, the quilting looks pretty good. At least it passes my inspection.

I hope I didn't offend you and if I did I appologize.

gorgeous!!! You are some kinda talented!!

sarahelloyd 02-15-2010 05:26 PM

i love the quilting, but i also love the colours you have chosen, they remind me of the colours we in Great Britain associate with your native American Indians, just beautiful.

azam 02-17-2010 11:06 PM
