Haven't posted since before the holidays, so thought I would share what I have worked on for the past weeks.

A snowman banner I made for us. I decorate with snowmen after the holidays, and made this to replace the holiday wreath on the front of our house. Is a preprinted flannel panel. Backed with muslin and outline quilted. Nothing fancy.

A two sided Valentine banner. Our house is hard to find, so I tell people to look for the banner out by the driveway. I have one with our initial, one with a poinsettia one and now this one. Will continue to add seasonal ones as needed.

TFL. Enjoy

Printed panel on flannel. Outline quilted

Valentine banner reverse side: Didn't have the hearts lined up quite right, so missed this edge. Tried to stitch both sides at the same time. Cars will be going by at least 25mph, so no one will notice I hope!! LOL!

Very nice! You did a good job. No one will ever notice the boo-boo. Did you purchase the snowman banner recently? If so, do you remember where you got it?

Ohhh, very nice and how smart of you to make these banners to find your home.

I like them and I like your idea of having a banner outside. How do you keep it from weathering?

Hi Dorothy: Until now, I have used ripstop nylon, which is from what commercial banners are made. This is the first one I have done in cotton. Will have to see how it holds up.

Hi Kay: No, not only do I not remember where I got it, I had totally forgotten I had it!! LOL!! I was neatening some fabrics and found it. Probably from last year at least. I can go out to the scrap bin and look at the selvedge and see if it identifies. If so, I will pm you.
