A "quick trip" to one of my favorite fabric stores turned out to be a lot of fun, but more costly than I expected. I had a $20 gift card that I was going to spend. That's ALL I was going to spend.... yeah, right! Well, I tried!! Everything I bought was at least 40% off, and some of it was 60% off. My total (AFTER the GC) was just under $85. However, I earned another $20 GC, so it was not TOOOOOO bad!

OOOOO I want it all. Where did you get it from?

cnolan 02-28-2008 08:29 PM

Glad you like it, Henry! I bought it at Quilting Adventures, here in the Richmond, VA area.

henryparrish76 02-28-2008 08:30 PM

Do they have a website??

cnolan 02-28-2008 08:50 PM

Yep... here it is:

btw... pm me about my etsy shop when you have a moment, please. I would love your feed-back / suggestions!

henryparrish76 02-28-2008 09:00 PM

I cant find the link to it...post it to me again in a pm :)

cnolan 02-28-2008 09:10 PM

Since I see you have added me to your "heart list" (thanks!!), I don't think you need the link anymore. 8)

I Love you taste in fabic. What are you planning to make with it? Please share :D

cnolan 02-29-2008 05:33 AM

Thanks, Brenda! The top 2 red fabrics are for a heart project. The other red is to finish up one I started ages ago. I am thinking maybe purses/bags with the flower and plaid fabrics. I have no idea what I will do with the others, but I loved them and had to have them (especially at 60% off!). :)

Oooohhh! Love those daisies in the blue and gold!

Brenda Retzlaff 03-01-2008 04:08 AM

Thanks for sharing. It is always motivating to me to hear/see what others are doing. I haven't tried any bags yet but I've been thinking about it....maybe this spring.....

barnbum 03-01-2008 06:43 AM

I love the daisy one too--but I'd not have a clue what to do with it. I can't wait to see what you decide.

Great haul!! :D

THat's some nice fabric. The blue and yellow plaid reminds me of fabric I used for a purse I made about 5 years ago. I carried it for a while, then sold it in a yard sale to my cousin's little girl! LOL! I had to sell it really cheap bc I would've felt so guilty if I hadn't! hehe

live2teach 03-01-2008 09:34 PM

Ohhh, I LOVE that fabric. I know what you mean. Anytime I go into a quilt shop with a set spending limit...I end up coming out of there more than double what I wanted to spend...lol. But, it's always worth it.

Belinda 03-03-2008 09:05 AM

Oh so pretty! Everytime I see what you all have bought I just want to go right to the JoAnn! Then when I get there I can't make up my mind...I want it ALL!!!!

helenrhoades 03-03-2008 02:16 PM

I love LOVE the reds. I really like the fabrics like the blue flower one, because you can use the ends AND the middle. Can't wait to see what you do with these!

liwilliams 03-06-2008 02:25 PM

Oh, I just love the daisy fabric. I've been thinking of buying some. It is Maywood Studios fabric. I just made a quilt with the Fuschia flowers by them.

Just for fun, here's the website that has patterns for this fabric.

http://www.animas.com/AnimasPublishing.html

They have three pages for the Daisy fabric.

I spent a few dollars myself this week and just cant' swing a fabric shopping spree til probably next pay day (less than two weeks).. This week I had to throw out money for my Canadian Passport, my Electric Quilt software, an external hard drive, and got my hair coloured and cut last night... and that was just this week LOL uggg..... I need to get a third job me thinks LOL
