I love your festive table runner. I just made my first fan quilt. I will be making more....
I do have a question about the first two photos. I bought the covered bridge pattern from the same company. What method did you use to transfer the design from the paper to your fabric? My brain seems to be keeping that to itself, so I am stumped. Can you give me a hint? Also, how did you cut it out smoothly? Enquiring minds want to know....lol. Thank you. |

I traced the pattern on wonder under, then iron to fabric. I use ginger embroidery scissors. They are sharp right to the point. I have found that it is best to cut the smallest pieces first. Also, what is nice is that if the under loosens from the fabric, you can iron it back down. I takes me about 4 hrs to cut out some of these patterns because of the trees etc. I know that Willowbend Creations sells precut pieces, but I like to pick out my own fabric combos.

i'm a big fan of silhouettes and yours' are just beautiful. i really love the packhorse and mountain scene. the quilting really is lovely as well.
