Some things I have been working on lately.

I haven't posted for ages so here goes.
The first 2 pictures are of a lap quilt I have made using Kimono fabrics that have been in my stash for years. Never really liked them, till now! I feel that the black has made them pop. I am giving it to someone as a thank you gift for caring for an elderly friend of the family who lives in Blackburn, Lancashire, UK.
The Rocket is for my Son in Laws' nephew, Harry, he's 2yrs in April. It is a panel with related planetary fabrics around the borders.
The scrappy is called Picket Fence, and has been made totally from scraps. It is bigger now than shown here, simply because I kept going until I had used all the patches I had cut. I have wanted to make this pattern for years. It is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I will love it regardless.
The mouse wall hanging looks a bit wobbly here, but it is only the poor presentation I assure you, it does hang staright. I found the pattern on the internet and it made me smile.
Now I am hand quilting a Queen sized DWR yes, this is the 4th I have made to date. No more though, enough already! It is very similar in colour and fabrics to the last one, so didn't feel the need to show it.
Thanks for looking.

My favorite is the stars /scrappy quilt. What method did you use? Did you have to cut each piece individually?

Thanks Lori for your comment. I cut rectangles 2" x 3.5" from many lights and darks. I stitched across the diagonal to form the angled join between 2 sets of light/dark and one set dark/dark and then trimmed off those pesky half square triangles. Joined the 3 units together with dark set in the middle. Then make 3 more units the same. join them and you have the block. I am planning to use the triangles as well to make a Welcome Banner I spotted at a show recently. I have so many from other projects as well. I hope this helps. I think the pattern is available on Bonny Hunters' web site.
