These are great. I crocheted before I started quilting. I have a few of those laying around the house too. I really love that turtle!

I see you are in Orange Park! Small world...I live in Green Cove Springs right down the road from you. I go to Calico Station for some of my stuf. Have you used them yet?

good job.. is the victorian tea party pattern on line somewhere? looks like any easy one...

sueisallaboutquilts 09-17-2010 04:06 AM

So pretty!!!!!! My Mom knits afghans and I'm glad b/c I hate doing them lol
I love to knit but only smaller stuff. Have to say though, quilting is the most of any needlework I do.
Never did learn to crochet :)
PS. Love the border on the last one!!

SueDor 09-17-2010 04:14 AM

Very nice work.

leatheflea 09-17-2010 04:28 AM

Grannie squares! I use to make these, my mom taught me how when I was a little girl. I use to crochet all the time until the quilt bug stung me.

Thank you. It was featured in a quilting magazine. I sent for the fabric. I have 2 copies of that magazine. If you would like I will send you the extra copy. Just pm your address to me and I will get it right out to you. No charge or anything. But I learned something making it. I am left handed but I am also left brained and working on the diagonal like to drove my brain crazy. The seamripper and I became close and personal friends. Don't forget to pm me.

They are all beautiful. The Victorian Tea Quilt caught my eye as not only is it my favorite color but it looks like me since I am an avid tea drinker.

Bobby's Girl 09-17-2010 03:07 PM

Great work! Your afghans made me smile, they remind me of my mom. Love the turtle pincushion, with so many cute ones around now who wants to buy ready made ones.

annette1952 09-17-2010 10:23 PM

Very pretty! I crochet too. Not so much anymore but used to alot. Made several afghans, hats & mittens. Now I only crochet small stuff like kitchen towels & dish cloths. I would much rather sew & quilt now. Love your turtle too!

That is funny, cause I usually don't show people the things I make. I just make them and then I put them somewhere where I can see them. But since I've been on this forum and seen all the beautiful things other people aare making, I just had to show ya'll some things. If doilies ever come back, I'll be ready. I have a warehouse full. LOL Thank ya'll for being so kind. :| :) :-) :-) :XD: :XD:
