I was in Ben Franklin today looking for some special fabric.
I spotted this, walked by it letting it sit there. Kept looking for the other fabric. Walked by this again, touched it, but left it. Didn't find the fabric I was looking for, but walked out with 2 yards of this. Why didn't I buy all 5 yards? I dunno...brain fart.....
I'm going back tomorrow to get the rest. Hope it's still there.

If you look at the bottom left corner of the picture, that's pretty much the TRUE colors of the fabric. Cannot understand why I can't get the rest of it to look good

I'm not really a cat person (my dad kept cats that were really mean, and I do mean M E A N), but the fabric has great color and designs. BUT a Ben Franklin!!!! I have not seen stores like that in years and years. I do miss those five and dime stores!!!

tlrnhi 10-16-2009 05:12 AM

I noticed while in there, the prices have gone up at least $1/yd on all their fabric. GRRRRRRRR

Nice fabric good for the quilt stairway to heaven or warm wishes. How big are the cats maybe you can fussy cut them. What would happen if you did a OBW?

sandpat 10-16-2009 06:15 PM

LOVE the fabric! I knew immediately when it was you writing yummy that it would be fabric..of course! Looks to me like it will go perfectly as maybe the back for your IRR kitty? Maybe you should go ahead and send it on to someone in your group so they can add it as a border....maybe fussy cutting...piecing it back together....hmmmm....I can think of lots of fun uses!

Oh, I know........just kicking myself for it. Anyone want to help?

sandpat 10-17-2009 04:49 AM

Whats the name of it???? I bet someone on here can find it! I don't have a fabric store all that close, but to be honest...I"ve seen it somewhere before!

jojo47 10-18-2009 07:11 PM

Lovely fabric, Terri! But where do you live that you still have a Ben Franklin store?! There hasn't been one in this area of MN for years! It was always fun to go in and get almost anything you needed.

Speaking of Ben Franklin, my sister gave me four mystery quilt block kits that she had purchased at a Ben Franklin...everything was pre-cut, for the most part, and the patterns were easy to follow. I have the blocks done, and was first going to do each separately as a potholder, but after seeing them all together, I'm doing a sampler of them. Once the project is done, I'll post pics. Promise!

dannypanny 10-21-2009 02:44 AM

What are you going to do with it?? Please share when you have decided. have nice day ciao

sewjoyce 10-21-2009 06:14 AM

I have an idea. Since you have a new "pet," perhaps you could sacrifice one of the older ones and use it to make a quilt. This new one will take it's place.
