You have done a super job!

Thank you, working on the flying geese but will have to use repeats for sure. Need to make 64 of them, but I'm doing won with black, one with white and print in middle.
How fun is that? Great idea and the flying geese will really enhance to overall look. DO NOT forget to post finished pictures.
Can't wait to see it with the border on it. It's so very cute.
I would never have thought about using black and white but it is absolutely gorgeous.
I have the pattern but have never gotten around to doing it. I love it with the black and white!
Great job. |
I love the starkness of the black and white. Great job!
I love black and white and you've done a wonderful job.
its beautiful great job!!!
Very stately, it is so crisp and refreshing! The illustrations, block patterns and text are so well-balanced.
Beautiful quilt, wish I had the patience to do that one.
You have done a wonderful job! Everyone who see this one will just love it.
Simply beautiful! And very creative! Are the scenes embrodiered? What kind of backing will you use? Also anxious to see it completely finished.

great quilt...
Thanks so much everyone.
I love it ...beautiful

I ordered the pattern, and it came in the mail yesterday. I've been pulling black/whites from my stash. I am amazed at how many I have....but, of course, there "will have to be additions" to the stack....lol...This will be my project when we go to FL for the winter, for sure. Did anyone stitch theirs through 2 layers of white? Did you just use plain cotton? Looking for any tips I can glean! Really like this one.
I use Kona cotton, I find stitching through two layers a bit tuff with my hands so I just used one. I'm gonna use repeats with my b/w as I have lots of different ones but still not enought so I will have repeats in the borders. Good luck with your quilt and would love to see pictures.

A great quilt-something to treasure.
Very beautiful!!! Your son had a great idea.
Thank you, I have one more border of flying geese to do and see if he'd like one extra border.
I've got that pattern!
You're turned out gorgeous in black! I've seen it done in red. I want to do mine in blue! :) |
I have this pattern. How long did it take you to cut out and piece? How long did the embroidery take? With working part-time there never seem to be enough hours in the day. I am finishing up my 3rd christmas tree skirt and still have a door hanging and table runner and placemats to finish before Christmas.
Wow!!! You did a wonderful job! I am sure he is going to love it!
Love it! Did you draw it all, or was it remade? Please, tell us DH and I have different opinions on that. Thanks!
It really didn't take to long, I worked on it with several other's . I made 5-embroidered quilts in a year along with my other quilting. I'm now working on 5 more as well. Thank you.
