In between quilts I finally finished this counted cross design ... only a year in the making! Now back to quilting and completing a few projects.

that's really nice. we lived in El Paso TX for a year - loved all that southwest stuff!

Those are lovely....I've visited Arizona twice and lovd the desert. I still feel like there is a desert quilt in me with lots of cacti....someday I'll get to it.

Now that was a whole lot of work! I used to do cross stitch and I appreciate the amount of time you spent on that. It is beautiful.

I have always felt that way, I have even drawn the pic that i want mine to have," the desert with a cacti and a semi tractor"
I just need to get the courage up to cut the fabric in two inch squares.

Beautiful work. I love hand embroidery,but cross stitches especiaslly counted drive me crazy. Are you going to frame it or use as a focal in a quilt?

Love that crosstitch. I used to crosstitch too! It is alot of work. You must be proud to have it done in a year. Would have taken me 3 years probably!!

Beautiful work. What are you going to do with it? Table runner? Frame it? You will have a tough time hand quilting it, but maybe with a machine????
