Splendid job, Kitsie! Looking forward to the finish.

Lynnie, the kit I used (a present) had all the batik fabrics laser cut! Hard part was choosing the colors to match the pictures!

Here are the last 4 of the Splendid Sampler (that I'm doing!) Haven't counted exactly how many of the 100 I have done, but has to be close to 100. It sure was a bunch of fun and learning!

Also finished the top of an SAS quilt

and am finally hand sewing the facing on my beloved Dresden quilt! Next? I dunno! Several layouts are shown for this sampler and I may choose more that one!

Thanks for following me!

The SAS is from a kit: http://www.flynnquilt.com/shop/Pre-C...t-Sea-Kits.htm

As you can see there are many choices of colors and sizes at a very reasonable price considering the pieces are all cut for you!

Thanks Kitsie, I already have fabric and am on a tight deadline so by the time the kit got to me from the US I would have a really tight time frame. The prices do seem very reasonable. I might use the photographs to help me plan my fabrics.

Are you talking about Splendid or the SAS kit? Neither has any timeline! Seems like the Storm at Sea? There are many patterns available free or at minimal price. Try at least one block and don't let it seem difficult! Especially the "diamond" pieces! Please pm me if I can be of help!

There's nothing more instructive than a sampler! Yours is lovely.

Beautiful! I love them but have never attempted one myself.

Thanks Kitsie, it's the SAS. I'm going to make it is a present for my sister's birthday 4th April. I've purchased batiks to make it but want it to graduate in colour to get the movement in. It's probably my most ambitious quilt yet so I'm a little worried and may take you up on the offer to PM you. I don't think I've the patience to do the splendid. I'm making a sampler quilt with 24 blocks and it has taken me around 4 years, I'm doing it QAYG and am at the stage of sewing the blocks together so nearly done.
