Split spool blocks quilt
1 Attachment(s)
A group of 8 of us did a fabric exchange....we each exchanged 2 strips with each other for a total of 16 strips which made 32 blocks. I wanted my quilt bigger, and to add fabrics to blend the colors better, so added another 16 strips ( a friend for each of the other fabrics).
We had a sewing day yesterday, and I finished my quilt top...here it is: |
So pretty! Great results and the colors are really nice as well as the pattern. Nice job.
|
Very nice! I like that block. Be sure and show us again when it's quilted, anxious to see it.
|
Nice pattern. Did some body in your group design the pattern?
|
Really nice quilt
|
The pattern is from here:
http://www.cluckclucksew.com/2009/09...ocks-easy.html I have an omni ruler I used instead of the cardboard, but I am sure that would work too if you don't have a ruler. You need the ruler that does the quarter square triangle, not the one for half square triangles. |
Beautiful quilt I love it.

It's great when folks get together for a project like this. I really like your results! Those old-fashioned blocks have stood the test of time.
