Spools of Love
 

Done and on the way to the person it was made for. Wahoo!
Various folks in our online quilting group contributed the small spool blocks, and I had the pleasure of assembling and quilting it - in memory of a quilting friend's dear Daddy. Lots of love in these lil' spools.

Close up shows the FMQ on the top/bottom blocks. Each small spool is quilted different - some spirals, swirls, grids, diagonals, floral/hearts, etc etc.

I've always loved "spool" quilts. Your friend will be over the moon with the thoughtfulness and generosity of her fellow friends following the loss of her Dad. Rather than flowers it will be a constant reminder of her supporters and the memories of her Dad.
