I thought all of you might like to see what I did over the weekend. This is a new Sudberry House CD of large format flowers. It took about 6 hours and 16 color changes. I used irish linen for the fabric. The finished size is about 12"X14".

I can't believe that it only took you 6 hours to do that beautiful cross stitch!!! I wouldn't be able to finish it in a week. :( I have decided that I work very slow.

It's gorgeous, Grann! I love sunny daffodils.

You DO realize I did that on the embroidery machine and not with needle and thread by hand???? I could have probably done it faster if I hadn't been interrupted many times having to leave the embroidery machine to go tend to something else.

Thanks Andii. I plan on doing some more too. Each CD has 10 designs (flowers) that can be stitched out in 3 different sizes depending on the size of your embroidery machine capabilities. I would love to do these as the center of a block for a quilt top. Someday......

If you read all the replies, you will see that it was done on my embroidery machine with a CD put out by Sudberry house. It require 16 color changes, and there are over 80,000 stitches in it. I like that it looks just like hand work.

Beautiful, I did not realize it was done by machine until you told us! Great job!

Thanks for taking the time to post. Daffodils are one of my favorite flowers (A close second to tulips) Beautiful work regardless of how you did it.

Pretty daffodils! Gotta have lots of patience to spend 6 hours babysitting a machine! :)
