Spring weather means this one comes down!

Our temperatures in the upper 70's today and bright sunshine--which prompted me to take down my little quilt on the stairwell landing. Here it is--my sis did the hand embroidery work and I did the piecing and quilting (SoFine #50 and doubled bat--wool on top of Hobbs 80/20)--all FMQ. panel/pattern was called Oil Can Snowmen

Do you have plans to replace it with another?

Your snowmen would melt in the temps that Sydney is experiencing at the moment. The heat is just relentless.

Yes-these snowmen would be melting here too! I always have a smaller quilt hanging from the top of the stair landing--right now it's a simple batik string quilt in bright colors. My son will eventually get this one--I always put a picture and description on my quilt journal and say which kid gets it when I pass--they think that's funny.

This is so cute, love the embroidery work and the quilting.

Love that quilt and I understand what you are saying. Had to put my snowman quilt up too; it's been in the high 80's and 90 here recently, a little cooler now with cold front blowing in and rain.

annette1952 02-13-2017 10:02 AM

Just beautiful! You both did an awesome job on it! I wished it was in the 70's here in MI. It will be soon though hopefully in a few months or less.

sJens 02-13-2017 01:52 PM

Love that quilt. Looks to me like one that should be up year around.

Great work, ladies!

Dee G 02-13-2017 05:16 PM

Adorable snowmen! They would be very happy here in CT with our 15 inches of snow!

kaylfordsollimo 02-15-2017 05:22 AM

I see why - 70º and snowmen just don't go together. Very cute though and ready for next winter time display.
