These are so pretty. Just had to share. Mr Honeybee is enjoying them too. If all those blooms make squash everybody can come to supper.
That is so cool... I had a friend that would make Greek pancakes out of the blossoms. They were great.
yes they are pretty, if you don't see the squash already behind the bloom then they're males, you'll probably have a lot more of them than females but that's ok .
i saw on a cooking show where they battered and fried the young blooms but it sounds like too much trouble for me! |

Hope you have both male and female plants. Ours had beautiful blooms last year just like yours but we only had one sex and they didn't produce any fruit. Wish you a lot of luck.

I pick everyday. If you will notice in one of the pics there is a little zucchini in the bottom. I have both zucchini & yellow crookneck. DH loves fried squas & we also have 22 tomato plants. Guess you can guess what I will be doing this summer.

Ymmmmmmm!!
Neat pics! Gotta love zucchini! :)
Looks like inspiration to me for paper piecing---wouldn't they be beautiful?
Stuffed with Mozzarella and battered... OH SO YUMMY! :)
Don't grow them any longer but do buy some from local farm market to make Zucchini Pie. It's not really a pie, it's a cross between and quiche and and fritta that's baked in a pie dish. Can be a side dish or main part of the meal - just love a piece with fresh jersey tomatoes and some fried Italian peppers, mmm... delicous summer meal. Also can be eaten hot, warm or cold. Wish I had some right now, May in Jersey

How cool.

Wow. Still thinking about the garden-to-be. Frost/freeze warning for tonight.
beautiful photos! I just planted my garden yesterday, so it will be a while before I see blossoms!
oh That looks so familar use to see lots on my friends farm in GA. Another pretty flower is the okra flower.
Our friend, who is a chef, stuffs them with cheese and deep fries them and boy-o-boy are they yummie!!!
They multiply fast so you will have lots.
Makes me hungry for squash. Love them anyway they are fixed.
The blossoms are so pretty...you could make a quilt from those pictures! How pretty would that be? |

I love squash blossoms! Thanx for sharing.

I saw my first squash blossoms several years ago in a Farmers Market so I went home and looked up how to cook them and bought some the next week, stuffed them with an herb cheese mix and fried them up. Really delightful!
