Have a great friend who (of course) LOVES her grandbaby, but doesn't get to see her very often...so I made her a pillow, so she can give her a hug everday! I saw this 'method' on this site about a year ago..not sure what it was called, cannot find it again! Darn!! So, I did the best I could from memory. Just not so sure about the black.Anyway, this is my first try and she was happy with it, so I am happy.

i thinks it's a cutwork technique, not stained glass, but beautiful nonetheless. |
Beautiful, amazing. How did you do it????
|
This technique I believe was originally introduced to the board by grammatjr. I believe she is writing a book on it.

Check out that Fusible Stained Glass Portrait post on this site..she had a second post that explained it a bit more.
I just enlarged the pic, in grayscale, mirror printed it. The hardest part for me was deciding where & how to cut! I cut one pic & layed it on black cloth...when I did the second pic..I changed some of the original paper cuts. The eyes were tuff also! Her pic was taken by her photographer Mom, so I wanted to put that lace in..so I ct that to fit & fused it on top. Trial & error!!
