Sorry, I can't help you with the fusiable leading, mine was cut from a piece of black fabric and placed on and attached to the batik with a zig zag.

was that a technique i saw on tv where you fuse one side of soft fusible to the back of yardage, then cut out your deign in one piece, and then press it to the backing? the one i saw was a garden and the black fabric formed the intricate wrought-iron fence. sounds like it could be the same method.

That's stunning! Is the batik just one piece of fabric or cut in sections, I MUST do another stained glass soon - I got the little clover gadget for making bias strips. The only one I ever made is hanging on a wall in New Jersey...!

Did you make your own bias for the "lead" or did you buy the premade stuff?
