Your star is beautiful .....I just love the colors !!!

Your quilt is beautiful! The idea of yarn on the edge is great, I have never seen an edging done that way!
|
We are all on duty to guard your beautiful quilt so the binding police can't even look at it!
|
the quilt police would not notice the binding because they would be blinded by the beauty of your quilt!
|
Very pretty. Love the colors.

This star (I call Lone star since I live in Texas) has always been my favorite. Yours is beautiful.
|
Beautiful colors!
|
I think you made the right choice. Binding looks better on this quilt. Enjoy it and no quilt police here! Luann

Isn't that the quilt from your tutorial? It looks beautiful!
I'm thinking of trying my hand at a star quilt. The one I made years ago had the typical "bump" in the middle and it was just a pillow! :o |

I enjoyed your tute on this quilt. It just amazes me how all your diamonds fit so well and how you made it look easy. But I know it wouldn't be for me. So I'll just admire yours for now. I hope to give it a try one day. Thanks for sharing.

All my quilting is free motion, pantographs in my opinion are like binding but worse. Like walking in someone else's footsteps.

An painter friend of mine says when you have made 10,000 strokes the same it becomes second nature, I think this is true of quilting as well. Practice, relax and listen to your favorite music while you quilt. If you don't have a long arm practice on small pieces, play, don't worry about the outcome, just be the thread, be the fabric. I think we often get so wrapped up in out thinking we forget to be in the moment.
