Wow! You do beautiful work.

You are truly amazing! I couldn't pick the one I like best if I had a gun to my head!!
I looked at your tutorial and it is so well done, I'm very impressed. I also told you that I found the book you wrote: Montana Star Quilts..... about the star quilts made by the Indians in your area, and your own original designs. It is one of the most interesting 'quilt' books I have ever seen and filled with such great diagrams and how you think the designs through. I am really enjoying your beautiful Kindle cover that you made from vintage velvet. It is like wraping my Kindle in a work of art! |
Wow! Three of them? I rarely do a pattern more than once ans I've never attempted the Lone Star.
|
Wow!! I love them. You are sure zipping them out fast. I have one almost half done, that I started a year or so ago. I cannot remember when. Those are fantastic. and I know how hard they are to line up those seams.

Your quilts are awesome. The last one is my favorite.

Grandma 58, I used to piece these stars for a living, for another woman who quilted them and sold them, most often to members of the Lakota Sioux Tribe in northern South Dakota. After a while I got fast enough that I could piece one per day including the side filler blocks. Others could do two per day and that impressed me. Looking at your quilts I noticed that you are making these with individual diamond shapes and not the by the strip method. I am really astonished by that. I didn't think anyone made them that way anymore and I certainly didn't. Your quilts are stunning and so beautifully well made. My hat is off to you!
PS...I love the colors in the quilt above your favorite one! |
wow, burnt out wouldn't even cover it if I had 3 or 4 of those stars going. Looking Great, can't wait to see them finished.
