I admire people who keep on going even though the pattern designer did not provide enough info. I also admire an excellent quilt. Good for you.

Yooper32 02-21-2011 03:34 AM

That is one elegant quilt.

Beautiful!

I bought this pattern several years ago( after seeing one made up in Lolly's in Shipshewana, IN) but haven't had the nerve to try it yet. A couple of other quilters have posted pics and said what a headache it was. Your quilt is stunning. One of these days, I'll get up my nerve and give it a go.

It is gorgeous.

Blue and yellow is my favorite color combination. I just finished my second quilt with this color combo.

I know what you mean about frustrating. Mine has been waiting on my wall for a long time. I forget the "approximate" part till I read your post. After a couple of years I had gone back and tried to finish. Thought it was the fact that I was using a different machine and seams were off. The set in "Floater Fabric"(blue&yellow check) shapes were too small. <very large sigh> Will give it another try when I finish the ABC books for ggs.

dkabasketlady 02-21-2011 08:15 AM

Stunning!! I think you did an Excellent job figuring out what you needed!

cuppi duke 02-21-2011 08:30 AM

That is so pretty. It looks like you figured the pattern out pretty darned good.

mshugarsq 02-21-2011 08:32 AM

I made the Star Spin several years ago it was a thought provoking pattern plus bein very complicated. I started quilting it and then became bored quilting. I should finish it. What could I do with a 2/3 hand quilted quilt?

WI Rose 02-21-2011 08:45 AM

I am proud of you! I, too, am making this and it is a tough one. It's beautiful, but, for sure, I WON'T be making it again.

Very, very pretty. You did a great job "figuring" it out. One of my UFO's is a UFO because I need to "figure" it out. I'm proud of you!!!

plmaher 02-21-2011 12:26 PM

I love the colors and the quilt design!

greencat 02-21-2011 12:53 PM

Homespun 02-21-2011 01:07 PM

Lovely!!!

iamjanet 02-21-2011 02:10 PM

Absolutely beautiful! Who did you get the pattern from? I just ordered the pattern from Erica's. Hopefully I'll get more than approximations. Now I'm getting fearful that perhaps I bit off more than I can chew :?:

Aunt Bea 02-21-2011 02:39 PM

Oh my, that is pretty. I would have thrown it in the closet if the pattern wasn't clear and complete. Great job.

WI SANDY 02-21-2011 02:46 PM

Excellent work and love your color choices.
