Hi everyone,
Started this yesterday, my friends' mother (who used to quilt) said it is beautiful. What do you guy think? It's a part of what is going to be a bigger charity quilt.
I'll add more pics as it gets bigger!

Looks like you have a fun scrappy on the way!

You might want to check that all your seams are the same width. Also, if you measure/square it up with each layer of strips added ... it will help you to keep it square, and for all the blocks to be the same size at the end. Much easier, when you go to join them all together. And you'll have a much nicer finished product.

Have FUN!

Until you posted the second block I was thinking the block may have been a Bento Box, rather than scrappy. Pretty fabrics.

What's a bento box?

BTW, have two more blocks to share! Post them later

FabrikQueen 04-27-2012 10:04 AM

I don't know exactly how to describe it, however if you will click on the link (below) it will take you to a free pattern of this block. Ironically enough I found it here on QP! Great group of ladies that can help you with, and tell you anything about quilting you will ever need to know!

Does the fabric you're using have sentimental value? I love the bold green/blue accent in the middle. I'm wondering if the fabric is from your stash. I'll be watching to see how it all turns out.

I like it. Please post pictures of your progress.
