Starting my second quilt (String Quilt)
 

Here is the start of my second quilt going to be a string quilt. I haven't chose the border or back yet. It will be 100"X 100"

Here is a block I embroidered for the quilt, it will go in the middle or lower right corner I haven't decided yet.

My mom and the lady at the fabric shop talked me into the yellow, I had chose all the other colors. glad I went with the yellow as well.

I love those colors. I have a question though.... all of the string quilts I've seen have different width strips, but yours appear to be the same size, which I REALLY like the look of, can you tell me how wide your strips are, and whether or not you're going to use a muslin backing? Thanks!!!

Yes it has a backing and the strips are 2.5 inch.

The quilt is going to be beautiful. I love the colors. Show us the finished masterpiece.

Showed the picture to my husband and he really liked what you have done so far. So do I. Very nice colors and I am sure that it will be awesome when you are finished. Does your wife know that it is for her? If she sees the yellow block with the hearts you may have to tell her. (Ha,Ha). Can't wait to see the finished quilt. Thanks for sharing. BrendaK

I didn't get any done on the quilt today but did get more fabric.
The fabric on the left will be the 4" border the white will be the back.
