Stash of Orphan Blocks
5 Attachment(s)
I spent a day last week cleaning up my sewing room and collected up most of the orphan blocks I had stashed in drawers, bottom of baskets, etc. Last night I sorted them out into heaps so I can start sewing them into quilts. I found 4 lots of 'block exchange' blocks, some applique blocks half done, a couple of smaller quilts that just need quilting... another year's work found and sorted :)

Wow! That is a treasure. It looks like you'll have several quilts there.

Your certainly a brave person. I wouldn't look for any of my unused blocks. That is like opening Pandora's box.

Looks like my stash, I need to sort some myself. Nice Blocks. Post some quilts when done.

Very nice. Love the butterflys. Have fun!

What fun! I have a drawer in which I keep all of my orphaned blocks, but there never seem to be enough of any one kind to make a quilt, and my tastes in color and fabric have definitely changed over time.

Love the teddy bears.

Oh my! You have a lot of quilts POTENTIALLY - LOL! Show them to us again when you finish. I suspect I have some orphan blocks from classes, too. I'm almost afraid to look. Someone suggest that we donate them to Porject Linus if we're not going to use them in a quilt. Sounds good to me. Ends the guilt!
