I can't advise you on quilting---I'm a novice, but your quilt is beautiful.

I started a Hunter Star last year for my son and daughter-in-law. I way under estimated the fabric needed for a king size so put it aside until I could find some more fabric. After much searching, I was able to find more. Now I just need to sit aside the other projects I have been working on and get back to it. I also have been thinking about hand quilting it for the same reasons you have mentioned. My only problem will be where to put it so I can sandwich it together. The long armer I have used in the past said she could sandwich it for me for under $20 which I think would be reasonabl. The only thing is she wants to use a different type of batting than I think I want to use in it. Wll I nave time to think about it and decide what I want to do there.
QUOTE=Jannie;5581449]I am going to keep my eye on this thread. I have just started a Hunter Star quilt for my son and daughter-in-law and have been wondering how I would quilt it. Because it is a king size, I think I want to hand quilt it because it will be to much work getting it thru my sewing machine. I have had a couple of quilts LA and they came back beautiful, for me they were just to heavily quilted and made the quilt weigh too much.[/QUOTE]
